I haven’t looked into what happened in the stars in late 2024 and early 2025, but they aligned well enough for me to feel compelled to look into myself, who I come from and what it means to be descended from my heritage: Ilokano.

If you're here, you probably discovered Kadua on Instagram first.

This newsletter is an extension of that work, with deeper dives into what it means to center identity while pursuing entrepreneurship in ways that decolonize the systems we’ve been taught to follow. In short: This is my way of building Kadua in public.

For now, watch this space. I’ll fill it soon.

Oh, and please subscribe — 25% of proceeds from paid subscriptions goes toward Kadua’s fund to support Filipino American creatives, leaders and community initiatives.

Agyamanak unay for being here!
